The Sound Board plays ambient audio and sound effects to set the mood at your table. Open it from the right-click context menu under Audio / Visual > Sound Board.
Interface Overview
The Sound Board contains a set of audio tracks, each with its own play/pause control and volume slider. Multiple tracks can play simultaneously; layer a dungeon ambience with a fire crackling and distant chanting for a full atmosphere.
Playing Audio
Click the play button on any track to start it. Click again to pause. Tracks loop by default.
Each track has its own volume slider to control the mix. A master volume control adjusts all tracks together.
The Sound Board also shows an audio histogram (waveform visualisation) while audio is playing.
Adding Audio
Click the + or Add Track button to add a new audio source. You can:
Upload a local audio file (MP3, WAV, OGG, etc.)
Give the track a label so you can identify it quickly during play.
Organising Tracks
Tracks are listed in the order you add them. You can rename, reorder, or delete tracks using the controls beside each one.
Volume Controls
- Per-track volume – the slider on each individual track row
- Master volume – a global slider that scales all track volumes proportionally
Playback Options
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Loop | When active, the sound file will repeat continuously until you click it again to stop the playback. |
| Stacking | Allows multiple instances of the same sound to play simultaneously on top of one another. This is ideal for rapid-fire sound effects like explosions, fireballs, or weapon strikes. |
| Jitter | Slightly modulates the pitch and timing of each playback. This ensures that even when sounds are stacked, they feel more organic and unique rather than repetitive. |
Pro Tip: Combine Stacking and Jitter for environmental effects or combat sounds to create a more immersive and natural soundscape.
