MITHOS includes three tools for tracking your world state: the Weather Generator, the Calendar, and the Time Tracker.
Weather Generator
Open from the right-click context menu under World & Time > Weather Generator.
Generating Weather
Click Generate to produce a weather result. The output typically includes:
- Precipitation (clear, overcast, rain, snow, fog, etc.)
- Wind strength and direction
- Temperature
- “Feels Like” Temerature
Calendar
Open from the right-click context menu under World & Time > Calendar.
The Calendar tracks the in-game date. It supports custom fantasy calendars with different month names, lengths, and special dates.
Setting the Date
Click on the current date display to edit it. Advance the date by clicking the forward arrow or by entering a specific date.
Custom Calendars
Configure the calendar to match your world’s timekeeping system:
- Number of months
- Days per month
- Month names
- Special events or holidays (shown as markers on the calendar)
If your game uses a standard real-world calendar, the default configuration covers that.
Tracking Time
Use the Calendar alongside the Time Tracker for combined date and session-time tracking.
Time Tracker
The Time Tracker allows you to manage in-game time precisely, advancing or reversing the clock as your story unfolds.
Controlling Time
- Manual Adjustments: Click the buttons to advance or reverse the clock by Minutes, Hours, or Days.
- Custom Advancements: You can create custom buttons (e.g., “+4 Hours”) to quickly jump through long rests or travel periods.
Visual Indicators
The clock interface provides a visual representation of the day-night cycle:
- Daylight Hours: Represented by Orange on the clock face.
- Nighttime Hours: Represented by Purple on the clock face.
- Customization: These colors are fully editable in the settings to match your preference.
Note: The duration of day and night is automatically determined by the Solstice Events configured in your custom calendar.
Lunar Tracking
If you have a moon configured in your campaign calendar, the Time Tracker will automatically display the current Lunar Phase, helping you track high tides, lycanthropic cycles, or celestial events.
